CHC20108 Certificate II in Community Services

This qualification covers workers who follow the policies and procedures of an organisation and, depending on the setting, assist with the planned activities and day-to-day care of children, youth or adults under direct supervision. This course is availalbe only to non-compulsory post-secondary students enrolled in Structured Workplace Learning.

CHC30108 Certificate III in Community Services Work

This qualification applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services which provide support to individuals and groups. This level is appropriate for support workers, caseworkers and client contact officers. Generally, these positions have direct contact with clients, identify presenting needs and refer to appropriate services and support. At this level support workers and case-workers may provide day-to-day support in community settings and/or provide assistance with entitlements and benefits under the broad direction of others.

CHC40708 Certificate IV in Community Services Work

This qualification covers workers who provide a range of services and interventions to clients, and/or who implement community education and interventions. Work may take place in a range of contexts such as community based organisations, residential rehabilitation services and outreach services and workers may have supervisory responsibilities.
