To celebrate the Children’s Week 2015 theme ‘The Rights of the Child to Discover’ Meerilinga Children and Family Centres Woodvale and Kingsley organized an incursion from the Scitech roadshow. Supported by latest neuroscience research into brain development, the Scitech Early Childhood program provided a safe, exciting and interactive environment for children to engage in self-initiated play. The hour long workshop was divided into four learning areas – Light, Push & Pull, Living Things and Sound. The children explored the activities at their own pace, including investigating shadows, light, moving objects with magnets, creating sounds, identifying smells and many more.
