WA Children’s Week Awards Ceremony 2014

WA Children’s Week Awards Ceremony was held Wednesday 22 October 2014 under the big top at Percy Doyle Reserve. Everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the show, with the entertainment provided by Circus Joseph Ashton.

Children, parents, teachers and dignitaries attending the awards were the first to view the highly anticipated Go for 2&5 Art Exhibition, displayed in the Circus Joseph Ashton foyer during the awards. The Go for 2&5 Art Exhibition will now take up residence to be viewed by the public in the State Library of Western Australia, on display until the end of November.

We were very lucky that dignitaries The Hon. Peter Collier, Minister for Education and Ms Jenni Perkins, Acting Commissioner for Children and Young People presented Awards.

2014 WA Children’s Week Family Ambassadors David Wirrpanda, Shannon McGuire, Marley and Eli Wirrpanda were in attendance as well as WA Children’s Week Ambassador Fairy Queen Caroline who opened the Awards with the Children’s Week song.
