Early Childhood Training & Assessment Officer (Part-time 3 days per week)

Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation Inc. trading as Meerilinga Training College (RTO 6000) offers nationally recognised training and assessment and professional development services and early education services.

Due to our exciting college expansion, we are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our education services team at our West Leederville centre.

Selection Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Sector – CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent Trainer Matrix demonstrating skills, currency, and knowledge mapping to qualification.
  • Qualification in Training and Assessment – TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with additional units of competence TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in: proven facilitation skills and experience with workplace assessment, planning of learning programs, design, and moderation of assessment tools
  • Time management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel in northern suburbs and work out of hours work (evening and weekends) for occasional training, organisational and community events.
  • Ideally like the idea of working in a not-for-profit organisation where you can attach greater meaning to the work you do

Traineeship Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Educator Position (20 hours per week)

A unique opportunity to be part of a small team of trained Educators in a pre-kindy environment at Beechboro and Ballajura. Our beautiful services are integrated within the Children and Family Centres.

Our 20 place services offer children aged 2 years to 5 years play based learning from 8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week.

Meerilinga is offering Diploma CHC50113 traineeships through Meerilinga Training College in our Early Learning Services. Each position will offer a minimum of 20 hours a week candidates must be available to work between 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Persons currently completing CHC30113 can apply.

We are seeking candidates:

  • Who hold a nationally recognised Certificate III in early childhood or equivalent
  • Who hold a Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • Are passionate in working with children and supporting families
  • Able to work as part of a quality organisation
  • Reliable, flexible and a professional standard of presentation and attitude
  • Able to manage and balance work with study and commit personal time for extended study and assessment activities
  • Passed Year 10 Numeracy and Literacy
  • Technology skills
  • 18 yrs. or over

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Children’s Services Award 2018 and Meerilinga Flexibility Agreement.

Curriculum Leader Position Early Childhood Teacher (65 hours per fortnight, Mon-Fri)

A unique opportunity to lead a small team of Diploma trained Educators in a pre-kindy environment at our High Wycombe Centre.

Our beautiful service is integrated within the Children and Family Centre. Our 20-place service offers children aged 2 years to 5 years play based learning from 8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week.

The Curriculum Leader will have a range of responsibilities including:

  • Curriculum planning and implementation
  • Reconciliation Action Plan champion
  • Leading and mentoring a team of amazing and passionate Educators
  • Leading the development of the Quality Improvement Plan

Our selection requirements are:

  • Minimum qualification relevant to this position is Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience leading an early learning program.
  • Excellent knowledge of National Quality Framework and are able to implement a curriculum at exceeding level
  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships with families
  • Demonstrated experience in the education and care of children
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with both children and adults
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally competent manner
  • Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment
  • Knowledge of child protection law and procedures
  • Well-developed organisational skills
