Korongkurl Katitijin Aboriginal Themed Playgroup at High Wycombe

Coming together to learn!

Kurongkurl Katitjin is a phrase meaning ‘coming together to learn’ in the Noongar language in Whadjuk Boodja. Meerilinga embeds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and language into our Children and Family Centres and into the programs we offer to the community. The impact of embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and language is significant, with children and families learning about culture, language and history. Join us as we play games and enjoy activities, learning to identify birds and animals, sing songs and the understand the six seasons of the Noongar people. This playgroup is facilitated by an Aboriginal woman, supported by Meerilinga Staff and Advisor Cultural Liaison.
