National Volunteer Week 2019 – Making a World of Difference

National Volunteer Week runs from 20 – 26 May this year. The week acknowledges the huge commitment and contribution that volunteers make to organisations – organisations that include Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation.

Meerilinga has more than 40 volunteers who contribute their time over the course of the year. From volunteering in our Early Learning Programs, to work experience in our West Leederville office, through to lending a hand at events during Children’s Week.

We will host a morning tea to thank some of our long standing and dedicated volunteers on Friday, 24 May. Woodvale Secondary College will hold the event, with an invitation extended to local member of parliament Jessica Stojkovski MLA. Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Lesley Moreschi will also be in attendance.

The theme for 2019 is ‘Making a World of Difference’ which speaks to the huge contribution that volunteers make, and to the fact that organisations such as Meerilinga would not be able to operate so effectively without the help of volunteers.

To our volunteers we say Happy National Volunteer Week and thank you for the world of difference you all make!
