Venue Hire, Playgroup and Early Learning Program

Win a FREE Term in ELP competition

  1. The promoter is: Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation (ABN 60 366 468 001) whose registered office is at 22 Southport Street, West Leederville WA 6007.
  2. The competition is open to residents of Perth WA aged 18 years or over except employees of Meerilinga and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. Multiple children from one family can apply as separate entries.
  8. ‘Free Term’ is valid from 22 January 2018 and must be taken in the first term period unless as agreed with centre coordinator.
  9. Child must be between the ages of 2 years and 6 months, to 4 years old as of the 22 January 2018 to attend Meerilinga’s Early Learning Program.
  10. Free Term of ELP is subject to individual centre availability and will be confirmed at the centre coordinators’ discretion. If first choice is not available, second choice and so forth will apply.
  11. Selected child must comply with standard new enrolment requirements, ie immunisations (See Family Handbook for more information).
  12. Entrants may be called to further discuss their survey answers.
  13. Children who are already enrolled for 2018 are allowed to enter.
  14. Closing date for entry will be 15 January 2018. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  15. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  16. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

  18. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  • The prize is as follows: one full day in the Early Learning Program per week, for a period of 10 weeks in total. The Early Learning Program runs Monday – Friday from 8am – 4:30pm. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable.
  1. Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.
  2. The winner will be notified by email and/or phone by 15 January 2018. If the winner is unable to be contacted within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  3. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
  4. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  6. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
  7. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australia data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

  9. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  10. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Meerilinga and not to any other party. Playgroup Membership

  • Playgroup dates coincide with the School Term, if you are unsure of these exact dates please contact the Centre you will be attending.
  • Parents/carers must be responsible for your child/ren at all times
  • Please bring a hat for your child/ren for outside play
  • You must communicate important information such as allergies
  • No nuts or nut products are to be brought into the Centre
  • Do not bring your child to playgroup if they have a contagious illness
  • Do not leave medications or other dangerous items where children can access them
  • Membership fees are per term not per attendance
  • All fees are non-refundable
  • Fees are a standard price for membership, where unable to pay please contact us separately to discuss fee waiver on grounds of severe financial hardship

Early Learning Program Payments

  • All deposits are non-refundable for change of mind and must accompany all applications
  • All information accompanying Application and Enrolment Forms must be correct at the time of submission
  • Term fees are non-refundable for cancelled enrolments outside of the required 14 days written notice

Early Learning Program High Wycombe and Cockburn 2017 Enrolment Competition

  • Refer a friend who enrols for minimum of 2 days per week in 2018 and receive $50 off your Term 4 invoice and your friend will receive $50 off their third week of tuition fees for 2018.
  • Subject to centre availability.
  • Current families can refer friends and family to any of the six children and family centres.
  • Meerilinga reserves the right to suspend referral incentive at any time, giving notice to all families involved, pending ELP position availability.
  • Eligible to currently enrolled 2017 Meerilinga families attending an Early Learning/PreKindy Program in either the Kingsley, Woodvale, Beechboro, Ballajura, High Wycombe or Cockburn Meerilinga.
  • For referred students, a $50 discount to Term 4 invoice will be applied once the 2018 ELP application form, immunisation record and birth certificate has been completed, accepted and processed at the respective Children and Family Centre.
  • $50 reward value cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • There is no limit to how many students a family can refer – each new referred family will receive $50 discount.
  • A maximum of $50 will be taken off current families Term 4 invoice.
  • Referred students must be enrolled for a minimum of 4 weeks before they are issued their $50 discount.

Venue Hire

  • The Hirer accepts responsibility and agrees to pay for any loss or damage sustained during the hire period
  • The Hirer guarantees that NO KEY entrusted to them for the duration of the hire is copied or otherwise given to any person or organisation.
  • The following fees and charges apply if required;
  • $33.00 Late return or lost keys
  • $66.00 Security call out
  • $38.50 Setup and/or cleaning costs
  • $27.50 Per hour for staff callout/attendance
  • Damage to facilities or equipment due to malicious act or negligence (Full cost of repair/replacement)
  • 50% of total room hire will be charged for cancellation less than 5 working days
  • All fees and charges are subject to change
  • As there may be other groups using the centre at the same time consideration is needed at all times in regard to the noise level and sharing of equipment.
  • No hirer shall be under the age of 18 years. Only rooms booked and paid for hire may be used.
  • Workplace Health and safety regulations state that there is to be a maximum number of persons in the centre at any one time. Please ask your coordinator.
  • Arrangements to collect and return the key for the centre must be made within two days prior and after to the booked activity.
  • Please use all centre equipment with care and stack clean tables and chairs away neatly in appropriate store areas after use.
  • Cleaning Equipment – Kitchen bins and activity room bins should be emptied after use. Green council bins are kept outside of the building. Please do not leave nappies in the inside bins. Wrap them and put in the outside bins.
  • Kitchen – For safety reasons children are not permitted in the kitchen. Please label your items in the fridge or cupboards and clean out any unused food at the end of your session. Hot drinks are not permitted into the play areas where children are present.
  • First Aid – The first aid box generally located in the kitchen, a minimum supply is provided.
  • At centres with a security alarm please ensure the building is armed prior to exiting the building.
  • Smoking, Alcohol and Substances – Smoking is not permitted within the buildings, surrounds, gardens or parking areas at any time. This is a NO ALCOHOL & ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE venue.
  • On leaving the premises, the Hirer must ensure that:
    • No food or drinks are left on the premises.  All rubbish is to be in a tied rubbish bag placed in the outside council bins and liners replaced.
    • The premises should be left in a clean and tidy condition. Cleaning equipment is available, in storage areas as sign posted.
    • All furniture and equipment is to be returned to its original place.
    • All windows and doors are to be securely locked and the security activated.
    • All heating and cooling, ovens, lights, fans, hot water, exhausts and electrical items must be switched off as instructed after use.
  • Misplaced Key – DO NOT LEAVE THE BUILDING UNLOCKED SHOULD YOU HAVE MISPLACED THE KEY. If this occurs you must contact the Coordinator of the Centre.  If you have been unable to lock and secure the building you must stay at the Centre until other arrangements have been made for the locking of the Centre.  Should you leave the premises unlocked then any malicious act, robbery or damage will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
  • The minimum hire is 1 hour and an hourly rate charged per hour and/or part thereof thereafter. Preparation and cleanup are calculated at time of hire and is to be included in the hire time.
